DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Hollywood has returned to North Texas. Once again, a major production will shut down a part of downtown Dallas. Streets near the Reunion green space will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday while filming takes place on a new television series from the USA network.

The show is called “Queen of the South,” and it is about a woman who tries to take down the leader of a drug cartel.

The filming will impact traffic along Reunion Boulevard, Market Street, Young Street, Houston Street and Jackson Street. But, this time, police will be there to help out.

The city learned some lessons during the last Hollywood production to visit downtown Dallas — which was just last week. That filming in Dealey Plaza just wrapped up last Thursday. Crews were in North Texas to shoot a miniseries starring James Franco about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

A number of roads had to be shut down for days and, after some serious congestion and traffic headaches, some changes were put into place to make the situation easier on downtown drivers. More police officers were brought in to help direct traffic and the filming time was pushed back to after the morning rush hour.

Still, drivers should try to avoid roads around Reunion Tower on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the production is in town. If you cannot avoid the area, give yourself some extra time to account for possible traffic delays.
